A Beautiful Pregnancy Announcement Shoot in Didsbury, Manchester.

I had the absolute honour of capturing Megan and Jacob for their pregnancy announcement in October in Didsbury. This was a dream shoot as I’d always wanted to do one - they are so full of excitement for their pending arrival and what a privilege to be invited to capture this special time.

Planning for the Perfect Pregnancy Announcement Shoot.

Megan and I had chatted in advance to plan the pregnancy announcement shoot out - picking the perfect location, helping with their outfits choices and discussing the props we could use for the shoot. Megan shared an image of another couple announcing their pregnancy which they would like to inspire a shot of their own. We worked together to prepare for the shoot which was absolutely key in making this announcement shoot so perfect.

The Pregnancy Announcement Shoot in Didsbury.

The weather couldn’t have been better on that Saturday morning in October. We met at Fletcher Moss Park in Didsbury for our family shoot. Megan and Jacob had just had their 12 week pregnancy scan and were bursting with excitement to share the baby news! 

We spent the next hour moving around the spots I’d chosen for the shoot, capturing the love between the couple, and their love and excitement for the child they were expecting. It was beautiful from start to finish. We used the scan photos in most of the images, as well as a lovely, personalised wooden sign that Megan had made with her business, White Wolf Designs UK (@whitewolfdesignsuk). Megan had also made a personalised babygrow and we used pegs to hang it up for those beautiful, creative photos.

It was such a joy to spend an hour or so with this gorgeous mama and dada to be, and I am genuinely so excited for them!

Seeing the images shared on their social media announcing the pregnancy news to all their friends and family was a proud moment. Especially as I am so happy with how the images turned out.
