A little about me…
Marnie has made me value the importance of photographs more than ever. Little ones grow so quickly and as much as we think we'll remember their little features, expressions and quirks, time makes memories fuzzy. That’s why I love family photography that is natural and really captures families as they are- without the forced Chandler Bing smiles in front of bright studio lights!
For me, it is the only way to pause time right now and soak up the little things about your littlies that you love. Not only do these images bring you joy right now, but they are a time machine back to those earlier days - for you to reminisce and re-live, and for your children to look back to a time before they remember.
Hey, I’m Laura!
I founded Copper + Olive Photo in 2018 after I got married. I was looking for a creative outlet after I had put so much into the wedding- and photography gave me that and more! It is such a pleasure to have a job where I can give people something they love and cherish - it gives me that mushy feeling! So much so that I left my former life as a lawyer in January 2022 to pursue it full time.
I am so so proud of how far my little business has grown. I’m really not one to toot my own horn so when I get named as a Top 12 Family Photographer in Manchester or when I receive a gorgeous message from a family, or see a gorgeous new review pop up on Google, I try to let it all sink in and take it all on board. I feel overwhelmingly grateful that I get to do this all as my job!
I live in West Didsbury, which I adore. Leafy streets, cosy cafes and the windy river. I also love to escape back to my roots in the Cumbrian countryside as often as possible. My husband, Mark, and I have all our traditions that we try to fit into every trip- which has to include a local beer in the Crafty Baa!
I am in my happy place when capturing the love in a family and giving that back to them in photo form to cherish forever.
This, for me, is what it is all about!
