Didsbury Family Photographer // Fletcher Moss

Being asked by another photographer to take their family photos is a huge privilege - and also pretty nervewracking, I’ll admit.

Vishal (IG: @vish_stills) and his wife Jo found me on Instagram - and booked me in last month (December 2021) for an outdoor shoot. Their beautiful baby daughter, Eva, was an absolute delight from the get go. One of the happiest babies I have ever met! My nerves instantly disappeared as we met and started chatting.

I was so pleased when they chose Fletcher Moss to have their shoot. It is one of my favourite places in South Manchester, both for work and play. The Parsonage Gardens are stunning all year round, making it an ideal choice for some family photos in nature on a dull December day. Even though it was raining for the first part of the shoot, we still got some beautiful shots of this super lovely family - including the one above! And across the way in the Botanical Gardens and main park, there are so many fab areas for a shoot.

We had such a lovely time exploring the park, playing with bubbles and making Eva giggle. I came away filled with a huge amount of gratitude for having (to me) the best job in the world. And this feeling was magnified 100x when I got a message afterwards from Vishal and Jo thanking me for the fun shoot and saying that Eva loved me and kept looking at me and smiling even when we were just walking along (I’m not crying…!).

I’m already so excited for Vishal, Jo and Eva’s next family shoot!
